Hi, I’m E R N A!
My career in the fitness industry covers all sorts of ground. I started with teaching Group Exercise in 2003. Since then I have run the gambit when it comes to formats, programs and classes. I began Personal Training for individuals and small groups in 2009. I had some amazing mentors over my first decade in fitness and really learned so much about the different facets of movement and interests of gym-goers. In 2014, I took a step into gym management with the YMCA, and spent the following 6 years growing and progressing as a leader. The COVID pandemic shutdowns gave me time to return to school and reflect on my career in the industry. I operated online classes for the first year of the pandemic, then transitioned back to gym-based work.
I truly love helping people find their way along their fitness journey! I believe in a mindful, sustainable and realistic approach to health. Balance is key. Whether it is Zumba®, boxing, weight lifting, yoga, or any other modality of movement…. I know there is a style of fitness that suits every body- it’s just a matter of patience and intent to find the perfect one for you.


I hold a degree in Exercise & Wellness, and carry certifications in fitness instruction and training from AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America). I am a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and hold multiple specialty certificates across a variety of fitness formats.
The beautiful Pacific Northwest is “home” but life has brought me to southern Spain, where life is amazing! I have two amazing adult children, a happy pup-kid, a stellar husband of 25 years, and an adorable first grandbaby.
In my ‘Me’ time I like to decompress by reading/listening a good book (connect with me on Goodreads!), indulging in some true-crime (podcasts, biopics, documentaries, books – I love it all), planning for my next trip, trying a new recipe, taking my dog for a walk, or binging a series on a streaming service. I love to travel and am so grateful for the opportunity to live in Europe!
