Motivation & Movement

This Yoga class is just PERFECT to kick off your day, week, month, year, hour, weekend, birthday, morning, evening, workday, rest day, happy hour… the list is endless! You can make more or less of this class as you see fit, but I lead it in a manner that gently unites you to your mat. You will generate just a little bit of heat – nothing crazy, but enough to ignite your light and feel your energy! Then you will finish with a peaceful moment of stillness… truly, just the BEST kind of practice to kickstart whatever needs a kick!

Equipment needed:

– Mat (yoga mats are best for practicing yoga as they provide enough traction for bare hands and feet, and are not tooooooo thick and cushiony)
– Blocks, one pair (2). If you do not have blocks a hardcover book is a good substitute. I do HIGHLY encourage you to invest in your own pair of blocks though! This is a game-changer for your practice.
– Blanket. A yoga blanket is awesome – there’s no other way. A tight woven throw blanket or thick beach towel is a good stand in, as well!

Optional options to keep in mind:
– Set your space! You do not need a lot of square footage to practice yoga, but you do want to make sure you have some clear space around your mat so you can move your arms/legs about and not punch someone in the face or kick over your potted plants.
– Set your mood! Put your phone on Do Not Disturb. Turn down the lights, close blinds and doors, turn on your oil diffuser… consider creating an atmosphere that promotes calm!
– Set your self! Before you step on your mat use the restroom, tie your hair back, layer your clothes… prepare yourself so you can pour your attention into your practice.
